How credits work on MegaScenes

MegaScenes

Everything on MegaScenes is paid in credits, and one credit is $0.01 on every plan and every top-up. A model's price is a number of credits; the same number appears on its public page, in the Studio before you generate, and in your credit history afterwards.

Where credits come from

  • Plans. Starter costs $34 a month and adds 3,400 credits; Creator $47 for 4,700; Studio $117 for 11,700. The credits are the dollars of the plan at $0.01 each.
  • The first week. A new account can start any plan for $1 for 7 days with 150 credits; after the week the plan renews at its price, unless you cancel.
  • Top-ups. With an active plan you can buy packs of $10, $25, $50 and $100, or another whole-dollar amount on the Billing page, at the same $0.01 per credit.

Every model is open on every plan, the first week included. What a bigger plan changes is how many generations run at once: 2 on Starter, 4 on Creator, 8 on Studio.

What a generation costs

Each model lists its price before you sign up, on its own page and in the list of all models. The price follows the settings that change the provider's cost: length and resolution for video, resolution or quality and the number of images for pictures. Two examples from the catalog:

Nano Banana Pro, one image at 1K38$0.38
Veo 3.1, 8 seconds at 1080p with audio800$8.00

In the Studio, the Generate button shows the total of the request as you set it up, so a change of setting shows its price before you commit.

When credits are taken and given back

Credits are taken when a generation starts. If it fails, times out or the provider blocks the output, the same credits go back to your balance automatically, and both lines appear in your credit history. The same happens when you stop a generation on a model that can be stopped; a model that keeps running once started says so, and its result stays in your library.

How long unused credits last

Unused credits roll over: a renewal adds the new plan's credits to the ones you have, it does not reset them. When your last plan ends, the credits stay usable for 12 months; subscribing again within that time keeps them.

Refunds of payments

You can ask for a full refund of a payment within the window in the refund policy, without the credits you used being deducted; when a payment is refunded, the credits it added that are still in your balance are removed. Credits received without paying, for example in a promotion, are never refunded.

No unlimited tier

There is no unlimited plan and no slow queue after a quota: every generation costs the credits listed for it, on every plan.

Questions

Do unused credits expire?

Not while you are subscribed. After your last plan ends they stay usable for 12 months, and a new plan started within that time keeps them and adds its own.

Is a credit cheaper on a bigger plan?

No. One credit is $0.01 on Starter, Creator and Studio and on every top-up. A bigger plan buys more credits and more generations running at the same time, not a lower price per credit.

What happens to my credits when a generation fails?

They go back to your balance automatically, with a refund line in your credit history next to the charge. You do not need to ask.
